Profhilo is the first BDDE-free injectable Hyaluronic Acid for hydrating skin and treating skin laxity.

With one of the highest concentrations of HA in the market (64mg/2cc), Profhilo has up to 5x more HA content than regular skinboosters.

What is Profhilo?

Profhilo is a skin tightening treatment. This skin tightening treatment not only provides excellent hydration to the skin, it also triggers natural collagen and elastin production to further improve skin elasticity. Due to its smooth consistency, it spreads out evenly within the skin layer without causing any lumps.

Manufactured by IBSA one of the leaders in Hyaluronic acid solutions. Profhilo skin treatment is a combination of Low and High Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid, developed with IBSA’s patented NAHYCO®️ technology.

The durability of Profhilo skin treatment is increased by this unique hybrid complex, which in turn decreases its degradation by 8 x that of Hyaluronic Acid on its own. The unique NAHYCO Hybrid technology stabilised HA complex lasts much longer than other non cross-linked HA fillers.

The dual action of Profhilo owes its clever technology to both its Low and High molecular weight HA.

  • Low molecular weight HA regenerates Hyaluronic Acid production and provides deep hydration to improve moisture levels within the skin.
  • High molecular weight HA tightens the skin. It allows volumetric replacement that helps lift the skin without altering the appearance of facial features.

The Profhilo skin treatment kickstarts the bio- stimulation of 4 different types of collagen and elastin. This helps to improve skin laxity and quality over 3-6 months after the treatment.

What benefits can I get from Profhilo?

  • Deep skin hydration
  • Reduction of fine lines
  • Improve skin laxity
  • Collagen stimulation
  • Skin firming
  • Boost skin elastin levels
  • Minimal downtime

How is it done?

Profhilo injections is injected into the skin.

The process is made more comfortable with the application of numbing cream prior to the procedure.

The specific injection technique formulated especially for Profhilo, is called the Bio Aesthetic Points (BAP) technique, which involves five injection points on each side of the face, in safe areas away from the major vessels, where there is also increased absorption. This technique is proven to minimise risk whilst maximising spreadability. A slow injection technique is used to reduce discomfort, if any.

2 sessions, done by a specially trained injector, are required for the full treatment. It is recommended that after the first treatment, the next treatment takes place 1 month later. A booster session can be done about 6 months later for even better results.

Profhilo vs Skinbooster, What's the difference?

The Profhilo skin tightening treatment is the new and improved version of the Skinbooster  skin treatment.

The Profhilo injections not only provides hydration, it also helps stimulate collagen and brings about skin lifting and tightening.  While, Skinboosters’s primary objectives is to hydrate the skin.

Traditional Skinboosters require multiple small injections throughout the skin whereas Profhilo only requires 5 injection points per side of the face. This is due to the unique technology behind this product that allows it to spread nicely across the skin.

This translate to even lesser downtime, less discomfort and more beneficial results.

Instead of the usual 3 sessions that’s required for other Skinbooster treatments, Profhilo only requires 2 sessions for good results.

Profhilo vs Dermal Fillers (Cross- linked Fillers), What's the difference?

The Profhilo skin treatment will not augment your facial shape unlike dermal fillers.

For those who are worried that Profhilo may change your appearance, fret not, Profhilo will only provide hydration and lifting.

If you are interested in augment or change facial contours, such as creating a higher nose bridge or a stronger chin profile, it is recommended to use dermal fillers such as Juvederm Voluma or Ultraplus instead.

Are there any side effects?

Downtime is minimal with the Profhilo skin treatment.

You may have a little swelling at the injection point right after the appointment, but these will subside within 24 hours.

As with most injectable treatments, small bruises or needle marks may appear over the injection sites which can be easily concealed.

Large blood vessels are avoided with the specially designed BAP injection technique with specific locations and fewer injection points.

Compared to other Skinbooster treatments, Profhilo skin tightening treatment requires much less injection points. This reduces pain and the risk of bruising or downtime. Profhilo is a great treatment for busy individuals who need to minimise downtime.

How soon can I see the effects from our Profhilo skin tightening treatment?

Hydration effects can be seen as early as 1 week from the treatment, with maximum results at 1 month.

Lifting and firming of the skin is an effect of skin remodelling and will need 3-6 months to see the full results.

The result: Deep hydration with lifting and improved skin quality

Profhilo is suitable for anyone who is looking to improve skin quality and hydration. It provides deep skin hydration, boosts collagen and elastin levels and reduces fine lines. The procedure is suitable for anyone in their twenties and above. Its benefits/results may be slightly more obvious in those who are experiencing dry skin and fine lines.

Profhilo contains hyaluronic acid that is non cross- linked. This means that it is unable to hold a particular shape or modify facial contours. Once injected, the product spreads out evenly across the skin’s surface to increase hydration, reduce fine lines and stimulate collagen growth.

There is typically little to no downtime after the treatment. Slight wheals may be felt or seen after the treatment which will resolve quickly within 24 hours. Occasionally some needle marks/small bruises may be noticed, which will fade away in 2-3 days.

Yes, it is ok to go under the sun after the treatment. As per usual, sunscreen protection is always recommended when the skin is sun exposed.

2 treatments, each done one month apart is usually recommended. For those with dry skin who require a bit more boost, a 3rd session is usually recommended at 6 months. It is encouraged to repeat the above sessions in 9-12 months for maintenance.

This skin treatment can be used on the lower face, forehead and neck areas to improve skin quality and hydration.

Profhilo can be combined with other treatments such as Lasers, HIFU, Ulthera, Btx and Fillers to give even better results. Depending on your skin’s needs, a combination treatment protocol, can yield more significant results to bring about better improvements.

After a Profhilo treatment, you can go about your daily activities as per normal. There is no downtime with this procedure.

A consultation will be scheduled before the procedure to assess the best treatment for you.

To reduce the risk of bruising, we request that you are free of alcohol, anti-inflammatories, aspirin, and food supplements that may cause blood thinning.

Profhilo is HSA approved.  It is made from ultrapure, a natural Hyaluronic Acid stabilised without any chemical cross-linking agents. This reduces the risk of adverse reactions and makes it a very safe skin treatment.
