Injectable Skin care therapy was the initial BDDE-free injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) product created for hydrating skin and treating skin laxity.

With one of the most abundant concentrations of HA in the market, comprising 64mg/2 cc, injectable skin care therapy has up to five times more HA concentration than regular skin booster treatments.

What is Injectable Skin Care Therapy?

Injectable skin care comes with a very high hyaluronic acid (HA) concentration, and owing to the smooth consistency, it can be spread out evenly without creating any lumps on the skin.

Designed by IBSA, one of the specialists in hyaluronic acid solutions using unique and complex technology, this injectable skin care enhances skin hydration, improves tone and laxity within three to six months post-treatment. But this may vary from patient to patient.

This hybrid complex enhances the durability of injectable skin care treatments and reduces their degradation by eight times that of hyaluronic acid alone.

What Benefits Can I Gain from Using Injectable Skin Care Treatments?

  • Deep skin hydration
  • Reduction of fine lines
  • Improvement of skin laxity
  • Skin firming
  • Collagen stimulation
  • Enhancement of skin elastin levels

How is It Done?

The treatment begins with the application of a numbing cream to make you feel more relaxed and comfortable. The doctor will then administer the injections using the Bio Aesthetic Points (BAP) technique, which involves a series of injections on each side of the face. This is carried out carefully in safe areas to avoid touching any major vessels. This technique ensures that the risks are minimised and HA is evenly spread.

In order to avoid any discomfort, injections are administered slowly, and the whole treatment is carried out over two sessions. We recommend our patients get the second treatment after at least one month has passed following the initial session. A booster session is advisable for enhanced results, and this is typically done after six months.

Injectable Skin Care Treatments Vs Skin Booster Treatments: What is the Difference?

Simply put, injectable skin care treatment is a version of skin booster treatments in Singapore. Whether you need to hydrate your skin, improve the laxity and  reduce fine lines, injectable skin care treatment has got you covered. Skin booster treatments, on the other hand, are more focused on hydration and moisturisation.

As mentioned previously, skin boosters need numerous skin injections administered throughout the face, but injectable skin care treatments only require five specific injection points on each side of the face.

Moreover, skin booster treatments in Singapore typically require three sessions, while injectable skin care treatment usually needs only two sessions for good results.

Injectable Skin Care Treatment Vs Dermal Fillers: What is the Difference?

Unlike dermal fillers, these treatments will not augment your face or bring about any change to your appearance, but they can hydrate your facial skin and help with reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

Having said that, if augmentation is your primary objective, we at Lux Medical Aesthetic Clinic can help you with facial contouring by using dermal fillers. These fillers are beneficial in creating a higher nose bridge and a stronger, more defined chin profile to give you the look you desire.

Are There Any Side Effects?

As with any other treatment, certain risks or complications are inevitable, but injectable skin care treatments are not usually associated with adverse effects. Mild swelling, needle marks, and bruising may be found in some patients following the session, but recovery is quick (usually within 24 hours), and any injection marks or bruises can be concealed conveniently.

As injectable skin care treatments do not need several injection sites like skin booster treatments, you will not experience much pain or discomfort. It is the ideal treatment for individuals leading busy lives and do not have much time to perform more invasive treatments.

How Soon Can I See the Results?

Hydration effects are usually apparent as early as one-week post-treatment, with prominent results appearing around a month following the treatment.

But we recommend you carry out follow-up sessions in nine to twelve months for maintenance.

How Much Will Injectable Skin Care Treatments Cost You?

At our clinic, we offer three sessions for a price of $2700*.

FAQ

Injectable skin care therapy is suitable for anyone in their 20s and above, especially those who are looking to improve their skin quality and need to hydrate their skin. This is an ideal procedure for patients who are experiencing dry skin and fine lines because more pronounced results and benefits can be obtained by this method. But ideally, you would need to consult an experienced medical professional who can determine if this procedure is suitable for you or not.

No, they are not. While both are injectables, they are used for different purposes. Dermal fillers help with plumping up the face and restoring the lost facial volume that occurs with age, but it may help with reducing wrinkles and fine lines as well. Injectable skin care therapy, on the other hand, as mentioned before, is specifically focused on hydrating the skin and reducing fine lines so that a smooth and refreshed appearance can be obtained.

Some mild wheals (lumps) may be felt or seen after the treatment but these usually resolve quickly within 24 hours. In addition, some needle marks and small bruises may also occasionally appear but these typically fade away within two to three days.

Absolutely! You may continue your daily routine as usual, but we advise you to use a good sun protection cream in order to prevent your skin from getting damaged.

The quality and laxity of the skin on your forehead, lower face and neck can be focused on with this treatment.

Yes! You can use a combination of treatments such as lasers, Btx and dermal fillers to give you a good result. Depending on your skin’s needs, a combination may yield more significant results, but this should ideally be discussed with an experienced medical professional like Dr Kellyn Shiau, who would enlighten you with more information so that you can make the right choice.

Well, not much, actually! After a medical professional has carried out an assessment, you may go on about your regular activities as normal.

This will depend on your skin type and expectations as well as your health condition. At Lux Medical Aesthetic Clinic, all these points will be explained to you in detail at your initial consultation. But in order to avoid any complications during the procedure, Dr Kellyn Shiau advises to refrain from consuming alcohol and taking medications such as aspirin and anti-inflammatory medication as well as food supplements that may cause blood thinning.

Both skin booster treatments and injectable skin care treatments are generally safe and effective. However, we advise you to consult a medical professional like Dr Kellyn Shiau to determine if the treatment is suitable and safe for you.
