Looking for that youthful face?
At Lux Aesthetic, our Cheek Fillers helps to reduce sunken tear troughs and improve the appearance of nasolabial folds*
What are Cheek Fillers?
Cheek fillers help to lift our mid face and replace lost volume. As we age, our cheeks lose volume and begin to sag.
Cheek filler can help to improve this, giving you a more refreshed look*. One critical aspect of anti-aging in this area is the rejuvenation of the cheeks through cheek fillers.
How is it done?
When volume loss in the cheeks is addressed, the mid face is automatically lifted and this alleviates a number of other signs of aging listed above*.
Besides merely replacing volume loss, cheek fillers help in creating prominence of the cheeks. This results in the enhancement of a gentle Ogee-curve, a symbol of youth*.
A topical numbing cream is first applied to the cheeks. The cheek filler procedure is made more comfortable as a specially selected filler containing lignocaine (a numbing agent) is used. A few injection points (usually three to five points per cheek) is sufficient to create enough volume and lift.
The cheek filler procedure takes approximately 20-30 minutes. Depending on the volume of replacement required, on average, one will require between 1-3cc of cheek fillers.
Are there any side effects with Cheek Fillers?
Major side effects are uncommon. There is basically no down time. Some possible side effects include slight swelling, bruising or needle marks. These effects if occurs, usually dissipate quickly.
Cheek fillers can lift the mid face and refresh your appearance*. A few simple cheek filler injections can help to replace lost volume. This helps to reduce sunken tear troughs and improve the appearance of nasolabial folds*. When filled properly, jowling of the lower face will improve as well*.
When done properly, cheek fillers actually help to lift the face, creating a slimmer appearance*.
Unless overfilled, cheek fillers will not make your face appear chubbier or fatter.
It is not necessary to continue cheek filler injections forever. Should you decide not to continue with maintenance cheek filler injections, it is absolutely ok!
With time, the remaining cheek fillers will gradually dissolve. Your face and skin will definitely not become worse than before you started, if you choose to stop the cheek filler injections.
In fact, it may still be slightly better than before. This is because cheek filler injections creates some collagen that helps to maintain the desired effect for a longer period of time*.
Cheek fillers when done in appropriate amounts, provide such natural enhancements that, most of the time, other people can’t tell what has been done.
Cheek fillers can help to enhance one’s natural beauty and does not leave the face looking stiff nor fake.
This will depend on how much volume and lift is required. 1cc is typically sufficient for mild enhancement and up to 4cc for very sunken cheeks.
This may sound strange, but different people do have different preferences when it comes to how they want their cheeks to look. An experienced doctor will be able to point out the areas they suggest filling in order to replace volume lost and create a good lift.
Do discuss with your doctor during consultation regarding the type of look you wish to achieve, for example: High cheekbones or Apple cheeks.
This may affect the areas of cheek filler injections and the amount of product used to achieve your desired outcome.
Cheek filler injections are generally well tolerated. A slight needle prick can be felt when the needle enters the skin. As the filler contains lidocaine, discomfort is further reduced.
Facial massage is not advisable within the first two weeks after cheek filler injections. It is recommended to wait until the filler has fully settled before proceeding with any massage.
When done correctly, cheek fillers can not only improve volume loss in the cheeks but also improve the appearance of tear troughs, nasolabial folds and lift a sagging lower face*.
Cheek fillers can enhance your appearance, lift the mid face and rejuvenate your look naturally* making you looking and feeling younger.
