The Ultraformer MPT HIFU treatment is an enhanced version of the Ultraformer III. Compared to the Ultraformer III, the Ultraformer MPT is less painful, boasts shorter treatment time and has more functions like the micropulsed linear mode to sculpt and tighten bulky areas and the ultraboost mode that helps to brighten skin when used with skin serums. The Ultraformer MPT also comes with smaller handpieces that help to target smaller areas or tighter corners to provide a more complete HIFU treatment.
What does the Ultraformer MPT do?
The Ultraformer MPT is a non-invasive HIFU (high intensity focused ultrasound) treatment that helps to tighten, lift and firm skin without the use of needles or injectables. It utilises ultrasound technology to stimulate natural collagen growth for skin lifting and firming.
Is the Ultraformer MPT painful?
The Ultraformer MPT is generally very well tolerated. The Micro Pulsed technology allows the delivery of superimposed energy to the treatment area with 25 times finer TCP. This allows for faster treatment times, increased comfort, lesser to almost zero pain.
Who is this treatment for?
This treatment is suitable for anyone who wants to lift, tighten and firm their skin without having to undergo surgery. It is a good treatment for general anti-aging and maintenance as well. Generally recommended for patients in their mid-twenties and above, depending on their skin concerns.
How long does the treatment take?
We generally recommend to set aside an hour for the Ultraformer MPT treatment. Numbing cream will be applied on the skin for about 15-20 minutes for more comfort. The HIFU treatment itself will take between 15-25 minutes depending on the area treated.
How many shots do I need?
This depends on the skin area that needs to be treated and size of the face/ body. It also depends on the skin’s reaction during treatment. Typically a HIFU Ultraformer MPT treatment for the full face, including double chin area and upper neck will require 700-1000 shots.
Is there any downtime?
There is no downtime with this treatment. Patients can go about their daily activities after the Ultraformer MPT HIFU treatment. A small handful of patients might experience very mild redness, swelling, or tenderness along the treated areas which will go away in a couple of days.

The Ultraformer MPT comes with Ultrabooster handpieces that works together with serums to help brighten the skin tone.

Can I combine the Ultraformer MPT with other treatments?
Yes absolutely! For better results, some patients can combine the Ultraformer MPT with dermal filler or btx treatments. Depending on your condition, combination treatment methods usually provide more optimal results with better patient satisfaction.
Can the Ultraformer MPT treat my double chin issue?
Yes, the Ultraformer MPT treatment can help to tighten loose skin under the chin and reduce the appearance of a double chin. In some patients, adding a chin filler treatment can further improve your results.
Can I use the Ultraformer MPT to treat areas around the eyes?
Yes, the Ultraformer MPT can treat areas around the eyes but it cannot treat directly on the upper and lower eye lids. With the Ultraformer MPT, treatment can be done around the eyes, along the bony orbital rim, to tighten, lift and firm the eyes. It can also help to smoothen out fine lines, like crows feet, around the eyes . If treatment on the eye lids is required, we will recommend Thermage eye treatment instead.
How often does the Ultraformer MPT need to be done?
Typically results from one session will last about a year. It is recommended to have the Ultraformer MPT done every 9-12 months for maintenance.
