The bone structure, over-development of masseter (jaw) muscles or a combination of both can contribute to bulky or square jaw formation.

The treatment of square jaws, due to bulky masseter muscles, involves a simple, non-invasive jaw reduction injection treatment with zero downtime. On the contrary, square jaws brought on by the bone structure typically necessitate invasive jaw reduction surgery, accompanied by a lengthy recovery period.

Fortunately, for most Asians, bulky jaws are usually caused by a genetic predisposition to bulky masseters. A consultation with Dr Kellyn Shiau in Singapore will help you determine the cause, and she will be able to provide medical advice on your eligibility for jaw btx reduction treatment in Singapore.

What is Btx Jaw Reduction Treatment in Singapore?

If you want to achieve a more youthful appearance or the classic V-shape look, one of the most effective non-invasive procedures is btx jaw reduction. At Lux Medical Aesthetic Clinic, we specialise in jaw slimming btx and other face contouring procedures that can help you to reinvigorate your appearance and get the look you are searching for.

Btx for jaw slimming is especially effective for anyone who feels their jawline is too square or too very prominent and would prefer a more contoured and refined V-shaped face. One of the key strategies to this is masseter muscle reduction (the muscles in the jaw area that help us to bite and chew), as overly large muscles in this area region can lead to a bulky-looking face or an extremely prominent jaw.

Btx jaw contouring is a minimally invasive, usually painless procedure that needs little to no downtime afterwards. Because of this, you can achieve your ideal appearance without adjusting your lifestyle or taking any time off.

What Causes a Square or Box Jaw?

In addition to the over-development of masseter muscles and the underlying bone structure, several other factors may influence the formation of a square or box jaw.Genetics and ethnicity may play a role in the formation of this type of jaw, which is most often the case with Asians. Additionally, some lifestyle factors (e.g., excessive chewing or teeth grinding) can contribute to this jaw appearance.

Jawline reduction btx can address these issues and create a better-proportioned chin and jaw, slimming your face and producing a more sculpted and refined appearance.

What Features Help to Create a V-Shaped Face?

A V-shaped face is usually referred to as an oval-shaped face that is slim and narrows down to a clearly defined jawline and chin.  Due to the combination of these features, the face appears thinner and smaller, creating a healthier, more youthful look that is highly desirable among women of all ages.

Our Jaw slimming treatment can help create a V-shaped face by shaping the jawline to appear less bulky and more sculpted.

How Does Btx Jaw Reduction Work?

Btx effectively relaxes and reduces the muscle’s size, enhancing its smoothness and softness and giving it a more clearly contoured and desirable shape. Masseter reduction btx treatment also helps to reduce the facial angle and ensures that the jawline and chin are better-proportioned.

How is Btx Jaw Reduction Performed in Singapore?

If you are considering jaw reduction by btx in Singapore, consult Dr Kellyn Shiau and our team of experts at Lux Medical Aesthetic Clinic to gain more insight into this procedure. You will also be provided access to other treatment procedures such as acne scar treatment, facelifts, body contouring and so much more!

We provide a range of masseter reduction and face contouring procedures designed to help you achieve a more youthful appearance and a vibrant V-shaped face.

Jaw btx reduction in Singapore is a non-invasive procedure that requires the administration of btx through a series of small injections in the area being treated (usually between one to three) using super fine needles. A numbing cream may be applied to ensure that you are comfortable and pain-free during the whole procedure

The entire process is quick and easy, so much so that it can be performed during a lunch break, and virtually no downtime is required afterwards. Any slightly visible needle marks that may remain after a treatment session are of no cause for concern and usually subsides within a few hours.

It takes around three to five days for muscles to relax and approximately four to six weeks to slim down nicely. Masseter reduction btx can also be undertaken in conjunction with other facial contouring procedures in order to achieve a complete face-slimming effect.

How Many Units of Btx Do I Need for Jaw Reduction?

The amount of btx toxin used in a treatment session is measured in units, so the total btx jaw reduction cost you pay will largely depend on how much is used, as well as how often you have treatments.

On average, a session of jaw contouring btx will require around 24 units of btx or 50 units in each treatment area on both sides of the face. Which brand of btx is used depends on your specific facial features and ultimate goals.

How Long Does It Take for Jaw Btx to Work?

Typically, a few weeks is sufficient to get noticeable results.

How Soon Can I See Results After Injecting My Jaw/Masseter Muscle?

While the ultimate outcome of masseter reduction before and after will be a change to your appearance, this is unlikely to be very apparent immediately. While in some cases, you may notice some differences more quickly, the full impact usually takes around three to four weeks to become apparent.

How Long Can Btx Jaw Slimming Last and How Often Should I Come in for a Btx Jaw Reduction?

Generally speaking, after receiving the treatment, the muscles take about three to five days to relax, and the slimming effect will only be seen  around four to six weeks later. The results of btx jaw reduction will last for around six months; however, this may vary depending from individual to individual. Therefore, if you want to maintain the full effect, it is recommended that you have regular additional treatments every four to six months or so.

The benefit of maintaining your V-shaped face is that less btx is required over time in a treatment session to keep your appearance. If you have undergone a number of treatment sessions, the likelihood of the results lasting longer is high.

NOTE: Depending on the patient, those who tend to clench their teeth more, grind their teeth or generally prefer diets that require more chewing may find that their muscles may grow back faster in comparison to others

Can Btx Jaw Reduction Be Combined with Other Treatments?

Who is an Appropriate Candidate for Jaw Reduction Face Slimming Injections?

However, there are no age or gender barriers in place, so speak to our team if you would like to find out whether you are a suitable candidate for the procedure.

Am I Suited for Btx Jaw Slimming/Masseter Btx?

If you have firm facial muscles and your skin is still relatively taut and has not begun to sag, then you are likely to be suited for the btx treatment for jaw slimming.

How Much Will Btx for Jaw Reduction Cost?

The overall btx for jaw reduction cost you will be required to pay will ultimately depend on the number of units used in each treatment.

At Lux Medical Aesthetic Clinic, we offer a jaw reduction package of 200 units, starting at $1,650*.

FAQ

Btx has been used for a variety of medical and cosmetic procedures for many years all around the world. Provided an experienced practitioner administers it in a properly appointed facility, jawline slimming with btx has consistently been shown to be very safe and has minimal side effects. These injections can, in some cases, include swelling and some redness in the treated areas, but this will subside very quickly.

Jawline btx is designed to slim the face and add more definition to the jaw and chin area, but it does not lead to the skin in these areas sagging or drooping.

Although it is relatively rare, some people may find it slightly uncomfortable or tiring to chew food immediately after having masseter reduction btx. However, the feeling is short-lived and, in most cases, passes within a few days.

Jaw Btx has been shown to be a completely safe treatment for jaw slimming and achieving a V-shaped face. It is a minimally invasive procedure that is largely painless and has no serious side effects. Any swelling or redness that results is minor and temporary.

Jaw btx contouring is not a permanent procedure. In most cases, the effects of the treatment will last for around six months (although this can vary from person to person). After this time, if you want to retain the full effect of your jaw btx reduction, additional treatments will be required. Although the results will not at any stage become permanent, the effect of each subsequent treatment may last longer than the previous one. Some may even last up to 12 months over time.

There is almost no downtime required after masseter muscle reduction btx. The injections are small and carried out with very fine needles, so the injection points disappear almost immediately

Many people choose to have injections for jawline slimming during their lunch break and are then able to return straight to work the same day with no difficulty or discomfort.

The results of masseter jaw reduction btx looks completely natural. The overall effect is achieved gradually, so there is no sudden or dramatic alteration to the shape of your face. The effects are subtle and do not impact your smile or other facial reactions.

Some people fear that btx jaw reduction side effects lead to a frozen or plastic-looking face, but this is not the case. The effects take place gradually over three to four weeks, and as your new look emerges over time it will appear quite entirely natural. Your facial muscles will continue to work normally, and you will retain full mobility, so your expressions will not be hampered or look frozen in any way.

Not everybody’s facial physiognomy is suitable for jaw btx contouring. For instance, the treatment does not change the bone profile of the jaw, and therefore if this is the reason you have a square or box jaw, jaw btx reduction will have little or no effect.

At your initial consultation with Dr Kellyn Shiau, it is important to have a clear idea about your goal and the look you are trying to achieve. It can then be determined prior to any treatment if jaw btx reduction is right for you, or whether surgical procedures may be required.
