As we age, our skin loses collagen, leading to the formation of fine lines, sagging, more obvious pores and dry skin. Skin boosters effectively help to hydrate the skin by penetrating the skin surface and depositing small amounts of filler throughout the treated area.

A specially formulated topical numbing cream is first applied to the treatment area. This is followed by tiny micro-injections of the skin booster at the targeted treatment area. The procedure is done using a special injector with suction that minimizes any pain or discomfort. It is advisable to repeat this treatment once a month for 3 months. After which, its effects will on average last 6 months*. A maintenance session is recommended once every 6 months thereafter.
The skin booster procedure can be done on most areas of the skin that requires hydration, mainly the face, neck and hands.
There are different types of skin boosters available. Our doctor will be able to prescribe the treatment combination to suit your skin’s needs.
Skin boosters are a form of facial skin rejuvenation, increasing hydration and hyaluronic acid (a naturally occurring substance in the body) levels in the skin. This not only helps in providing more moisture to thirsty skin but also helps to plump up the skin and improve the overall skin texture*.
When the skin’s texture is improved, fine lines, pores and even mild acne scars are reduced*.
Skin boosters contain hyaluronic acid fillers. When deposited in the skin, they attract loads of moisture and water to exactly where it is needed. The result is plumped up and hydrated skin with a slight glow*.
As the procedure involves administering many tiny skin booster injections throughout the treatment areas, the likelihood of needle marks or bruising is higher. Depending on individuals, these marks may take between 2-7 days to completely heal.
Possible side effects include the risk of infection. This is always present in any procedure that involves a break in the skin barrier, such as through injections. As the procedure involves multiple tiny injections throughout the treated areas, extra care has to be taken to maintain sterility and this is achieved in a clinic setting with the procedure done by a trained medical professional.
