What is CLATUU Cryolipolysis or Fat Freezing?

How is it done? - The science behind it.
Cryolipolysis works on the logic of cell apoptosis (fat cell death) at extreme cold temperatures. The treatment freezes the fats, which will induce a natural process of fat cell death. This works to remove fat cells whilst causing no damage to the surrounding areas. Over the next 3 months, the body can metabolize these unwanted fat cells and remove them from the body.
The problem areas will first be identified and demarcated. Common areas that can be treated include: abdomen, thighs, love handles, arms. Each CLATUU Fat Freeze applicator can treat an area of approximately 15cm x 10cm. The applicator will then be applied to the targeted area.
Once applied to the skin, a gentle vacuum suction will start to take in the selected area into the applicator head and cooling will start. Each cycle will take approximately an hour to complete. Some patients may feel a slight discomfort over the area being treated for the first 30-60 seconds. This sensation then quickly disappears.
At Lux Medical Aesthetic Clinic, our Fat Freezing technology – CLATUU Cryolipolysis dual applicator allows two different areas to be treated simultaneously. This helps to save precious time and make your treatment session more efficient.
After an hour, the applicator head will be removed. The treated area will bulge out like a frozen popsicle. This is followed by gentle massage by our therapists. The massage process helps to smoothen out the treated area and this helps the fat break down faster.
This depends on the thickness of the area to be treated. Most will only require one session per area.
For areas with more bulk, one may require 2-3 sessions for improvement. A second treatment on the same area can be done as early as 1-2 months after the last session.
CLATUU is a safe and non-invasive procedure. Many patients have experienced this fat freezing technology without any adverse issues.
In addition, at Lux Medical Aesthetic Clinic, our focus is to ensure that our procedures are not only effective but also safe for our clients. We utilise a special triple gel pad that is applied to the skin before attaching the applicator head.
This increases the safety profile and yet maintains efficacy of our body sculpting services in Singapore.

Our CLATUU Cryolipolysis’ cooling applicators have a steady 360° temperature control, ensuring optimal conductivity and efficacy.
In addition, the innovative triple layer gel pad, ensures patient safety. The safety profile of this machine has been rigorously trialled and tested.
